The Department of Commerce was started in the year 2008. The department not only concentrates on the academic excellence of its students but also nurtures their co-curricular activities.
The Faculty members are committed to develop an environment that is conducive for well-rounded growth of intellectual insights as well as ground level applications of the concepts, tools and mechanisms relating to the commerce & management aspects.
During the course, focus is given on the topical developments and trends in the economic, business and financial ecosystems at the national and global planes. Aligned with these, the required skills and competences are imparted to the students by a set of well-conceived value-added programmes. The department provides a platform to the students to hone their aptitudes and rightly orient their attitudes. The department emphasizes on the Moral, Social and Patriotic growth of students with the due focus and holistic touch.

We provide library facility for our students as a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material, and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both.
We have a well equipped computer lab which provides computer services to our students. For increase technical skill and knowledge .Computers in computer labs are typically equipped with internet access, while scanners and printers may augment the lab setup. Computers in computer labs are typically arranged either in rows, so that every workstation has a similar view of one end of the room to facilitate lecturing or presentations, to facilitate small group work.
We also provide placement to students with most leading organizations. The placement usually offers by an employer organization to final year of a degree and PG courses. This could be in any area of business, commerce, manufacturing or the public sector, in any size company or organization.
Career guidance for students in the college is an important programme to guide the students in an appropriate direction. Proper carrier guidance and soft skill development trainings are conducted with the help of professional trainers in frequent intervals, which help the students to evaluate their abilities, valance and skills for making their goals into a reality.
Our motive of tutorship is to gives proper guidance, by continuously evaluating the overall performances of the students. Typically, a tutor provides academic assistance to one or more students on certain subject areas after-school tutoring, home-based tutoring.
We are conducting Inter Collegiate Paper Presentation, which helps to increase more knowledge and interest in research fields by students. The students from different colleges compete each other positively to highlight the different issues and information in the field of modern economy and business.
To give an exposure to students to the larger world of Information Technology and to the world of industry, Industrial visits are being arranged at appropriate occasions.
This is arranged to provide students with a tacit experience of complex, large scale manufacturing processes, a small relaxation from the textbooks, boards and class room walls.
Students get to be part of a live working environment/ project in a reputed firm for a period of one month in between their 4th and 5th semesters. It offers a real experience to the students in their functional area
